Babar Azam Requests Media to Stop Calling Him ‘King’
One of Pakistan’s star batsmen, Babar Azam, has requested reporters stop calling him the ‘king’. Due to his performance in cricket, Babar is notably referred to by that nickname. He has participated in 125 ODIs, 59 Tests, and 128 T20s for Pakistan and scored 5990, 4235, and 4223 runs.
Recently, Babar Azam requested the media stop calling him ‘king’. He said, “I am not the King, and I have not achieved anything to be there yet. Please stop calling me the King. There are various new roles for me in the team. Everything that I did before is everything in the past, and for me, every match is a new challenge, which highlights that I should focus on the present and future.”

Recently, Babar has requested the reporters to stop referring to him as a ‘King’ due to the below-par performance of the players of Pakistan as compared to the high standards he has set according to him.

Moreover, earlier, the former captain of Pakistan ‘Sarfaraz Ahmed’ has spoken about the fact “how batting aspects of openers like Babar and Fakhar Zaman can help the team to host in the title defense in the upcoming Champions Trophy, which will start on February 19.
In the year 2017, Pakistan won the Champions Trophy by defeating India by 180 runs in the finals of the tournament at The Oval.

Notably, the former Captain of the Pakistan Cricket Team has said “Pakistan has a quite great chance to defend the title and I think they have one of the strong teams. Some of the players who played in the 2017 Champions Trophy are still there in the team, especially some of the best like Babar Azam”
Moreover, Sarfaraz added “Now Babar Azam is different from that player who participated in 2017, now he is a more dominant and mature player and knows about the game. Also, the batting of Babar as well as Fakhar Zaman will be very important for Pakistan.”
